Davide Gei received a Master of Sciences in Geology- University of Trieste (Italy) in 1998; after a stage at the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory - Columbia University of New York – USA, on 4D GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) to study fluid migration in the subsoil, in 1999, he got a grant at the University of Trieste (Italy) for analysis and interpretation of deep seismic data (1999-2000). In 2000 he reached OGS and since 2001 he is research scientist at OGS. His interests are seismic modelling and rock properties, with particular interest on fluid content (gas and gas-hydrates, pollutants). He was involved in EU project Hydratech - Techniques for the Quantification of Methane Hydrate in European Continental Margins- Hydratech and EU project Hygeia - HYbrid Geophysical technology for the Evaluation of Insidious contaminated Areas. Currently he is involved in EU CASTOR project and in the research activities within the EU NoE Co2GeoNet.
