Gualtiero Böhm gothis BS and MS in Geology at the University of Trieste in 1986. In 1989 he reached OGS and since 1991 he is research scientist. Since 2001 to 2005 he coordinated the research group of OGS REDS-REsearch and Development for Seismic, mainly involved in seismic tomography, and actually he is responsible of the project bound to research and development of the tomographic package CAT3D. He was involved in many projects for oil companies (Eni-Agip, Norsk Hydro, Fina, Elf, OMV and Enterprise), and the European Union (Joule, Exprit and Essi programs), concerning tomographic inversion and processing of real data. He is author of more than 80 peer reviewed international papers and international conference proceedings. His areas of major interest are velocity analysis, modelling and seismic tomography. He is involved in the research activities within EU NoE Co2Geonet.
