DNV Research aims to build new knowledge and know-how for all DNV units and to contribute towards renewal of DNV’s future services. It is an important part of our company strategy to carry out research and development within key technology areas. One of these is mitigating climate change from anthropogenic greenhouse gases, and therefore DNV aims to contribute to reliable and safe CO2 geological storage.

DNV also participates in several networking and research initiatives related to CO2 capture and storage, including CO2NET and CO2SINK. DNV has supplied risk management services to the project leadership of the Weyburn project.
